Blogging...once again!!!

Hello everyone....After what seems to be forever :) I thought I would start blogging once again and this time try to update it more then once a year - We will have to see how I do....no promises.

Well Gage is now in 7th grade and going to Mapleton Jr. High. He loves it and has been doing so great in school. He is such a great kid and I love him to death!! He is so tall about 5'4"...he passed me up before he was in 6th grade - but not so hard to do when your mom is only 5' :) He is getting great grades in school and his teachers have nothing but good to say about him, they are all so glad to have him in their classes - it is so good to hear!

Garrett is now in 5th grade and is still in Sage Creek Elementary - he also likes school but he is there for the social part - he is our little chatter box :) He has made so much progress in his school and home responsibility's, such a good kid! He is always getting himself up early (sometimes before 7am) and getting himself ready for school. He is such a fun kid with a great care free personality. He is very picky about his style and knows what he likes. He is our little fisher, he LOVES to fish. All summer him and his best friend Bubba would either be fishing, talking about fishing or wishing that they where fishing. they are so much fun!!!

I am working at IHC Homecare and I love it, I have been with them for a year and they are such a great company to work with. My co-workers are great and I don't miss BMC West at all!! That was one of the best things that has happened to us. Just goes to show you that there is a reason for everything!
Matt is still working with Marathon and they are doing great and staying busy - thank goodness :) We went on a Lake Powell trip with them this year in September and it was so much fun to get to know everyone and go see all of the sights.

Well I will try and keep my Blog updated as much as I can - Hope you all are doing great!!! Here are a few picture of our summer and what we have been doing - Enjoy :)

Basketball Gage

Gage was on a city Basketball team this year and he had a lot of fun. He had a game every Saturday for 8 weeks. Gage seems to always get put on the team that doesn't have a great attendance :) Well I guess that means he gets to play more when nobody shows up. He did really good and became a great ball player and team-mate as well. Gage is very compassionate to others and never gets mad when they don't win. He has the best sportsmanship I have ever seen, it is something that is rare for being only 11. Here are a few photos of his games.

Sleding with friends

On Sunday March 1 we went up to Sara's cabin and went sledding.....It was so much fun. We rode the four wheelers in and played for hours. We had lunch (Chili not Wise when you have to ride home with three stinky boy's). Becca brought her cocomotion that makes hot chocolate and it was awesome. I will be asking for one of those :) She made us adults a yummy Chai and we sat in the sun and relaxed. Matt was a poligamist for a day but with three great sister wives I did not hear any complaining!! The kids had so much fun and got along so well, not any arguing at all. It was such a great day and the sun felt so good. Everyone got a bit of sun and it softened the snow so it made it a bit hard to get out. Matt was the hero and got us all out okay. We where stuffed with stuff on the way back and I had to be pulled behind the wheeler on a tube. The snow was so soft that if we stopped we would get stuck again so Matt said I should ride "just in case". I was freaked out but being the mom I am jumped on and we where off. I did pretty good until Matt ran over a bush and I was tossed into the air and then landed right on my butt and tipped over onto my face. I was laughing so hard I felt no pain, Matt had tears and said we could have one a lot of money of we had been recording. Gage was scared for me the whole time and thought I was going to slide off of the road and down the cliff (could have happened it was pretty scary). We got back all on one piece and had such a great time with such great friends. Here are a few pictures of our day.

Stomp for the cure

This is my favorite picture! Becca, me and Sara. My BFF'S

So on February 7th we did a Breast Cancer snowshoe event. It was to help raise money for the cure of breast cancer. It was so much fun and we had a great time doing something for a great cause! We went up the night before and stayed in a hotel (we had to be at the course at 8:30 am) so we did not have to drive to the Mt Dell Golf course in the morning. We had intentions on doing the 5K but we ended up doing a 3K due to some medical conditions :) Rebbeca gave blood the day before and we stayed up until about 3 AM so her energy level was a bit low (as was all of ours :). Camille had two really bad bloody noses and we ended up making a great picture moment out of it! We had so much fun and really loved that the weather turned out to be so beautiful and dry. At the end of the event they did awards and we all got our pictures taken means that we where about the only team in uniform - thanks to Rebbeca and another one of her great ideas :) At the awards ceremony they had all of the women who where or who had fought breast cancer to go to the front. It was very emotional and we all had to fight back the tears. I was shocked that most of the women who where standing looked to be my age or very close to it. It really makes you grateful for your health and what you have in this life. Rebbeca won a great prize of a set of snowshoes, poles and gators (love my gators best investment I have made for snowshoeing). It was a amazing weekend and we are going to do it again next year. If any of you are interested please comment on my blog and I will let you know when we will sign up again. It is well worth it for sure. The more the better and next year Matt is going as well so bring your husbands too :) Here are a few of our photo shots - We love to take pictures :)
